Dear South High Tigers! The sound of the bell in the building reminds us we cannot wait to see our students back on campus. Until then, we wanted to check in.

One day at a time: We recognize this could be a hard time for students, being out of school and away from our South Community.  Remember to take this one day at a time.

Get curious: With this “extra” time, students might think about investing time in a new project or hobby, find a neighborhood club/center, help a neighbor, check out a library, research a job or career that interests you!

Spring is here: We have a lot to look forward to, with a new sports season, events like the Glam ball, planning for prom (date TBA, soon), and some clubs will be recruting for next year. What is it you want to do?

Glam Ball is set for Saturday, March 26, 7-10 p.m. at the Mall of America. Reserve tickets ASAP by completing online permission forms: SHS student form due Friday. SHS guest form due Thursday. Pay $20 at the door. Thank you to guardians who can step in as chaperones for striking teachers and staff.

A calendar shift is also in the works for Academic Planning Night which was to happen this week. A new date will be set for underclassmen to learn how to prepare now for life after high school. Look for that announcement in upcoming communications.

Pending end of the strike, new dates will be set bring "Once on this Island" to the South High stage. We remain excited to see this production! Hope you are, too.
