"How lovely to think that no one need wait a moment we can start now, start slowly changing the world!"

-Anne Frank

South High has a vibrant and expanding volunteer program.  There are many ways to contribute.  Over the years South has flourished thanks to the wealth of volunteers helping within the school.  Hundreds of family members, community members, retiriees, secondary and college students have all contributed a great deal of time, energy and talents to improve the quality of our students education.  If you are interested in helping South High Students strive for greatness and academic achievement, we would love to have you Volunteer at South High.

Some Volunteer Opportunities Include:
  • In-class tutor/aid: Assist in a subject of your choice.  Classes run from 8:30 am to 3:00
    pm.
  • Library and Media Center Aid: Media center volunteers allow for extended hours and services as well as freeing up time for media center employees to take care of more technical duties.
  • College and Career Center Aid: Help students with resume writing, college and scholarship applications, test preparations and job searches.  Help the career center coordinator supervise college rep. visits, update and maintain files, reasearch scholarshp options, and organize and distribute student opportunities.
