Help students get batteries for smoke detectors

Shout out to Katie Hanson for bringing attention to the teaching/advising experience of hearing smoke detectors chirping during DL meets with students; and thanks to Sheri Harris and Becky Murphy for a solution, first promoted by North High, which puts families in contact with MFD through our school nurses. Please refer students to 612.668.4311 to get batteries and smoke detectors for free and delivered safely to homes! 

New concurrent enrollment classes coming to South

In addition to the fall panel discussion "Increase Teachers of Color Act" and creation of “Future BIPOC Teachers” affinity group for students, the South High BIPOC working group is lining up the following slate of concurrent high school/college credit courses for juniors and seniors, interested in a career in education. MPR partners with South High

Our Somali-speaking Liaison Mohamed Bulhan left us for a new opportunity in late November. In his stead, Sharmarke Lodon and Ali Osman have stepped in to help us with multilingual communications. Thank you! Our new liaison will begin Jan. 4. Look for a formal announcement from AP Rodriguez!
