A WINNING TEAM

Led by local chef Jorge Guzman, the winning team of SHS freshman Frances Levy, NFL player Greg Coleman, and Anwatin's Miguel Lopez Zurita won the MPS Jr Iron Chef competition Tuesday night.

Their winning dish, a turkey and quinoa quesadilla won rights to be served on the MPS Food Truck, Super Bowl week! It'll also be added to the MPS lunch menu so students can taste it as well!

In all, sixteen MPS middle and high schools students teamed up for the competition with local chefs and NFL players.

From the MPS website:

MPS is excited to host this event in partnership with the Super Bowl Legacy Fund, Cargill, and our True Food Chef Council.
