School Based Clinic open for STI testing

From the School Based Clinic:

We encourage students to stop by the clinic Thursday, Feb. 2 during passing period, lunch, and during class with permission from their teacher. We will give all students who visit the clinic that day a pass back to class. The idea is that it should be quick, less than 15 minutes for students to participate. We will do all that we can to limit out of class time and there will be no scheduled appointments at the clinic on this date.

NOTE: Sexual health services are covered under Minnesota's Minor Consent Law, meaning that people under 18 may sign up for their own health care as it relates to sexual health - STI testing & treatment, birth control, condoms, pregnancy testing and options counseling, etc.

For all other clinic services, including physical health (checkups, shots, sports physicals), mental health therapy, nutrition services, students do need a parent or guardian to sign the clinic registration form.
