Needed: One more host family!

Host Families Sought for Austrian Partner School Students

April 25 to May 1, 2017

A sophomore class from our partner school Graz International Bilingual will be visiting South High with two teachers and 21 students, April 25 -- May 1 for six nights and five days.

All students have been placed, except one male student with allergies to dogs and cats. If you have a pet-free home, please consider hosting.

The students are bicultural and multilingual, speaking English, German, and at least two other languages.  They originate from a diverse array of European nations, and are the average age of 16.

If you are able to provide a bed, breakfast and dinner, and spend time with your student guest on the weekend, they would be pleased to stay with you!

GIBS has hosted our students from South with generous hospitality over the years.  If your student might be interested in European travel and connections, this is a good way to start.

Teenage host students from South are invited to participate in a variety of fun scheduled activities, and have their guest shadow them in classes for two days.  Included are cultural comparisons at MOA, a bike trip and BBQ lead by Mr. Aponte, trip to MIA, and an over-night bowling/pool party at Homewood Suites in Arden Hills.

For more information, please contact Arthur French, German Teacher at South:
