NAAPID to be celebrated Feb. 13


National African American Parent Involvement Day will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 13. Share the poster and spread the word about the annual party at Roller Garden in St. Louis Park!




Dear Parent/Guardian/Adult Family Member,

South High School, thanks you for joining us February 13th, on NATIONAL AFRICAN AMERICAN PARENT INVOLVEMENT DAY.  It is a day that we join thousands of other schools and parents throughout the country to celebrate and acknowledge the importance of schools and parents partnering together for their child’s education. Your involvement demonstrates that we are integral components of the partnership for student success.

The schedules of events are as follows:

    Classroom Visits All Day (during school hours)

8:30-10:00am    Continental Breakfast -Room 149

·      Family Involvement Plan Session, facilitated by Ms. Liz Rudrud, Psychologist and PSWE Coordinator-we value the input and direction of our families and communities around family engagement here at South High School.


12:00-1:00pm    Luncheon- Media Center

·      A panel Q/A discussion by Historical Black Colleges and Universities Representatives, which will be facilitated by Ms. Nneka Abdullah SHS College and Career Coordinator.
