I am Derek Lindberg. I grew up in Illinois and moved to Minnesota in 1991. Prior to working in Minneapolis, I worked for both Shakopee and Richfield Public schools as a resource teacher. I began working in Minneapolis Public Schools during the 1997-1998 as a special education teacher in the Autism Program. In my job I collaborate with families, students, teachers, and support staff to help support students in varied settings.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Iowa, a Bachelors of Science degree from Minnesota State Mankato and Masters of Science Education from The University of Wisconsin - Superior. I hold teaching licenses in Social Studies, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Mild to Moderate Impaired. In my free time I enjoy time outdoors, watching or participating in sports, and spending time with my family.
