Free summer meals available, Monday

Get a week's worth of breakfast and lunches, beginning June 14 and throughout the summer, at these MPS locations. And catch the Summer Eats Food Truck at these locations throughout the city.

Plan for 2021-22

Next fall, classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 8––a late start day for upperclassmen, and orientation day for new students. Please save the 2021-22 school calendar. Plan for back-to-school events, the week prior to school start. Details to come in August mailing!

New bell time

In the 2021-22 school year, first hour begins at 8:30 a.m. Dismissal will remain the same, at 3 p.m. 

South seniors "Beat the Odds"

Congratulations to South seniors Sarah Ali and Quentin Wolf, recognized by the Children's Defense Fund with a $5000 scholarship for not only garnering high level academic achievement but for overcoming adversity in doing so!

Abate wins Congressional Art honors

Congratulations to senior Bezawit Abate whose photographic artwork, "Dem Enba" will be displayed in Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s District office October 2021 to March 2022, in recognition of garnering 3rd place in the 2021 Congressional Art awards.

Summer homework - AP Biology

We will use Google Classroom this summer. Join using code: t3vmgey. An electronic version of a textbook will be available to you on the site. Guidelines and expectations are extensive. Please read more from Mr. Hamilton.

Summer homework - AP Government

AP Government is offered second semester, but Mr. Buszta suggests students can optionally work ahead by reading the Federalist Papers. Students, interested in doing, may contact him via email for the electronic version.
