MPS clarifies school placement changes

Information recently communicated by the district about upcoming open houses and school requests does not apply to current high school students. Our South High families do not need to submit a placement request to stay enrolled. MPS will be sending further clarification.

School bell rings later in 2021-22

Next fall, the South High school day will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. (A slight change, as our day currently runs 8:20 a.m.-3 p.m.) Districtwide, bell times were adjusted to achieve goals outlined in this letter from Principal Stringer.

Recover credits over winter break

Winter Break Academy is a second chance to be successful in science, math, social studies or English. Register by Friday, Dec. 4.

South welcomes author Kao Kalia Yang

Senior yearbook photos due Dec. 4

Senior Class Advisor and math teacher Ms. Woldum is doing triple duty, by also overseeing the yearbook. She reminds all seniors to submit their senior photos by Friday, Dec. 4, which is the end of next school week. See what submission entails!
