Help South students with world travel

Dear Local Businesses, Families and Friends,

On June 20, 12 students from South High School and two teachers will travel to Spain and Morocco for an educational experience that will change the trajectory of how we live our lives. We will be traveling with a company called Explorica and visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Costa de Sol and taking a ferry across the Mediterranean Sea into Morocco. We will be learning about the history and culture of these two nations.

The students are from a variety of backgrounds and income levels and many are in need of financial support. We are hoping to raise about $10,000 in two months to help these students. The money will go towards plane tickets, hotel rooms, food, educational tours and admissions to museums and cultural sites.

We are sending you this letter to ask for financial support in the form of a monetary donation or in kind donation to our silent auction to be held at our Indian Taco event coming up in May.

  • To make a charitable donation, please
    • Address payment to "Friends of South High Foundation"
    • Send to Laura Lanik or Delainia Haug at South High School.
    • Memo "travel and culture club"
  • All donations are tax deductible.

Travel is an excellent way to learn about the world and this trip will provide an opportunity for various students who may otherwise not be able to participate in these types of expensive programs. We thank you for helping these students achieve their dreams of global travel.
