Meals on campus look a little different



  • Remains free.
  • Open at 7:45 a.m., closes at 8:15 to ensure students arrive to class by 8:20 a.m.
  • Breakfast students will enter the building at a specific entrance, TBD, for contact tracing purposes.
  • They will enter cafeteria through doors near stairs, grab a breakfast and exit through the open doors.
  • Proceed to first hour class to eat. 

Lunch times
10:25-12:55 - Hour 2 and Hour 5 

  • A - 10:25-10:55 a.m.
  • B - 11:05 -11:35 a.m.
  • C - 11:45 -12:15 p.m.
  • D - 12:25 -12:55 p.m.

Wednesday morning DL (for all) dismisses at 11:30.

‚ÄčLunch cost

  • Lunch will continue to be free through the end of the year.
  • No ID will be required.
  • No need to add money to School Café accounts

Lunch Meals

  • Choice of a hot entrée, a deli sandwich or vegetarian option.
  • Menus will be available on the district website.
  • A fruit and a vegetable will be included. 
  • Milk choice will be 1% or skim, or lactaid/soy/rice with appropriate documentation. 
  • If a student requires gluten/dairy/egg accommodation, the school nurse, 612.668.4313, should be informed.

Lunch protocols

  • South will be a closed campus, so lunch must be eaten at school.

  • Seating will be arranged based on lunch period teacher. 

  • Students will be seated in the tables specifically assigned to your class group. Do not sit in the seats marked “Do not sit here”.  

  • Students receiving lunch will line up (social distancing) to grab and go pre-packaged lunches.   

  • Students are welcome to bring lunch to school, however we will not be using lockers so you will have to carry it until lunch. 

  • Lunch cannot be ordered and delivered to school.

  • Students will need to stay in the lunchroom for purposes of Covid contact tracing.

  • Tables will be assigned for contact tracing purposes. 

  • Please remove all of your trash after eating so the engineers can quickly  prepare for the next group.
