It's Tiger homecoming week!

Friday night football against Washburn will be followed by Saturday night fever in the school gym, this weekend. Be sure to buy dance tickets week days, at lunches. No tickets will be sold at the door.  Here are all the important details!

Parent Night is Thursday!

Experience your child's school day at night! Come to Parent Night, Thursday, Sept. 19--an event for anyone who "parents" a South High Tiger. Meet 5:30 in the auditorium for the Principal's Welcome. If you miss it, catch Principal Stringer at the end of the night! See full program.

Experience Argentina with South High

Right before Parent Night, learn about South High's Southern hemisphere adventure to Argentina and future travel to Spain, Thursday, Sept. 19, 5 p.m. in room 317 or email Profe. Willette. Students and families welcome. The enrollment deadline is Sept. 30.

SHS travel club sets sights on Ecuador

Learn about another SHS world travel excursion Tuesday, Sept. 24, 6 p.m. in room 258. Seasoned travelers and SHS teachers Ms. Lanik and Ms. Haug, led SHS students on a tour of East Asia this past summer. Next stop: Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, June 2020!

SHS to host welcome back Pow Wow

South High School is hosting the MPS Welcome Back to School Pow Wow, Friday, Sept. 27. Festivities begin with a meal 4:30 p.m. in the Commons. Grand Entry is set for 5:30 on the field. See details, including how to claim vendor spots and drum registration, on event poster

Get legal help at South High

South's social work team is proud to partner again with the Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid Immigration Law Project in hosting monthly legal clinics for students and families. Students may make an appointment with their Social Worker for Thursday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Register for the PSAT

Beginning, Monday, September 23, 10th graders may join 11th graders in registering for the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test, set for Wednesday, Oct. 30, at South High. Read FAQs | Registration closes Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Free PSAT study guides available

Get a sampling of test questions and learn more about the National Merit Scholarship program in PSAT study guides, available in counseling offices, 247 A & B, or get them in the testing office, located in the media center/library.
