Laurie Meyers, Vocal Music (Pronouns: She/Her)
Headshot Conducting

Welcome to Vocal Music!

I partner with young people in developing and sharing their singing and speaking voices and in learning about themselves, each other, and the world around them.
I grew up in Colorado and miss the mountains, but I love the music, theater, dance, and visual arts culture in the Twin Cities! I have taught music with many age groups, including babies, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary students, and high school students. My goal in teaching is to provide the knowledge, opportunities, and challenges for students to discover their voices and express themselves through vocal music. I also like to perform in community choirs and currently sing with Singers in Accord and Vox Nova Chorale. I live near Lake Nokomis with my husband and three children, and I am ever grateful for the beautiful lakes, rivers, foliage, and people in the Twin Cities area.
