I'm Melinda Bennett, I teach biology and forensic science.

I have taught at South High since 1989. During that tenure I have taught Biology, Advanced Placement Biology, physics, chemistry, physical science and forensic science.

I am currently teaching Biology as part of the Open Interdisciplinary team and Forensic Science as an elective course. In 2012, I  had the opportunity to teach in Accra, Ghana and  in 2010, in Beijing, China.  As I love to travel, I have led student groups on trips to Greece, Dominican Republic and multiple environmental learning centers.

I am particularly interested in progressive, global, interdisciplinary curriculum that incorporates concepts of biology with literature and history.  My goal is to guide students to be globally-minded, caring, inquisitive learners.
