A new season saw the return of South’s best runners from last season.  With a strong nucleus, the Tigers believed they could compete for the Conference and Region titles.

South hosted the Tiger Invitational.  The team came in second with three runners finishing in the top 10, Henry Holcolm, first, Noah Adrianny, seventh, and Isaiah Bischoff, ninth.

The Tigers had a bit of a setback at the Faribault Invitational.  South finished 15th, with only Henry Holcomb finishing near the top at 13th.

The annual meet with the Minneapolis and St. Paul schools, the Twin City Challenge, saw the Tigers finish eighth.  Henry Holcomb again finished 13th.

The Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota is one of the strongest fields in high school cross country in the nation.  South finished 25th in the Maroon Division.  Henry Holcomb finished ninth.

Travelling south on Interstate 35W, the Tigers participated in the Farmington Cowbell Classic and finished sixth.  Henry Holcomb finished third and Noah Adrianny came in 17th.

The following week, the Tigers again jumped on 35W but went north to Duluth for the Swain Invitational.  The Tigers finished 12th in Class AA.  Henry Holcomb finished 13th, South’s best finisher.

South participated in the annual Conference Meet.  The team finished in a disappointing third place.  Henry Holcomb finished third, claiming the Bronze Medal.  Noah Adrianny, 11th, and Cameron Ausland, 15th, were also in the top 15 finishers.

South did not register a team score at the Lefty Wright Grade Level Meet due to a lack of participants.  Many of those who did run, improved on their times throughout the season.

South’s season came to an end at the Region 6AA Meet.  The Tigers came in 10th, with Henry Holcomb coming in as South’s best finisher.

Matt Lawrence assisted Head Coach Mark Gross. During the summer, Head Coach Mark Gross decided to resign after 13 season as the coach of the Tigers.
