As the 2013-14 swimming season began, the participants have become more comfortable swimming with those from other schools.  The TMT team has become more cohesive in the last three seasons.

The season opened with the pentathlon.  SWEHN won the event with 306.5 points.  TMT had 199.5.   Rachel Anderson was the only swimmer to finish in first place for TMT.  She won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 26.21.

At the Maroon and Gold meet, TMT finished in 12th place, out of 14 teams.  TMT did not have any swimmers place first.

TMT and SWEHN faced off on September 11.  SWEHN won handily, 111-74.  Rachel Anderson again won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 25.68.  She also won the 100 Yard Freestyle in 55.69.

TMT pulled an upset against Shakopee, winning 97-88.

Team scores were not kept at the Conference Relays.  The Team of Elena Dooley, Laurel Neufeld, Jenny Zander and Britta Roe won the 200 Yard Medley Relay.  Rachel Anderson, Holly Anderson, Britta Roe and Carly Eckstrom won the 600 Yard Freestyle Relay. In the 300 Yard Butterfly, the first and last swimmers went 100 Yards and the middle two swimmers went 50 yards.  TMT’s Jenny Zander, Britta Roe, Reena Tarver and Rachel Anderson won the event.  The 300 Yard Breaststroke was also swam the same way.  TMT’s Laurel Neufeld, Emily WOrman, Michaela Stoddard and Irene Hennen won.

SWEHN and TMT faced off for the second time on October 9.  SWEHN won 63-39.  Rachel Anderson won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 25.87.  Carly Eckstrom won the 100 Yard Butterfly in 1:10.03.

At the Region 6AA True Team Meet, TMT finished in last place.

The Conference Meet was extremely close, closer than anyone expected.  Even though SWEHN won, the score was 217.5-205.5.  TMT started out winning the first event, the 200 Yard Medley Relay in a time of 1:57.37.  Elena Dooley, Laurel Neufeld, Rachel Anderson and Britta Roe made up the team.  Anderson, Roe and Dooley took the top three spots in the 50 Yard Freestyle.  Anderson won in a time of 25.46.  TMT finished with a win in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay in 4:01.59.  Roe, Anderson, Eckstrom and Irene Hennen were the team.

As in recent years, TMT broke up for Regions.  South participated in the Region 6AA Meet.  As a team, the Tigers finished in last place with 69 points.  Minnetonka took home the team trophy with 515 points.  South did not have anyone advance to the State Meet.

Jeff Sanders was the Head Coach again.  He was assisted by Edwing Gelvez, Jessica Herrera and Neil Anderson.
