2007-2008 Season

Challenging for the conference title has been tradition for more than 10 years for the women’s tennis team.  This year was no different.  With a good mix of veteran and new players, the Tigers hoped to take home another title.

The conference season began against Roosevelt.  The Tigers showed their dominate form, beating the Teddies 7-0.  Washburn and Henry, the next two opponents, also fell 7-0.  North lost, but the score was not reported.  Edison also fell 7-0.

The final match of the season, as has happened in the last few years, was against Southwest.  It was for the conference championship since both teams were undefeated.  South had to settle for second place, losing to the Lakers 5-2.

In non-conference matches, in a strange score, it was reported that the Tigers and Irondale tied 4-4!  This is strange because matches are usually the best of seven!

The Tigers lost 8-0 to Mounds View and 6-1 to Roseville.  South Beat Cannon Falls 4-3.  The last non-conference match that has been reported was a 4-3 loss to Robbinsdale Armstrong.
