This season began the fourth year Head Coach Lenny Sedlock and his staff was in charge of the Tiger football program.  Each year the team improved, and the next logical step would be the conference title.

South opened the season against Edison.  South has not defeated Edison since 1992-1993 school year.  Edison expected to continue the tradition.  South wanted to break it.  South came out hard and played extremely well, winning 32-14.

South took on Columbia Heights, and the score was not reported.

South then took on Washburn, the three-time defending champions.  The Millers were looking for their fourth consecutive title and have only lost one conference game in the last three seasons.  The Millers and Tigers fought in a close game, which gave the Millers a scare.  Washburn won 20-12.

South returned to Barnard field to take on Southwest for Homecoming.  The Lakers were no match for the Tigers on this wet, gloomy day.  South won 42-0!

The Patriots did not put up much of a fight either.  Henry lost 44-0 to a surging Tiger squad.

South travelled to North for their Homecoming.  The Tigers crushed the Polar dreams of a win 20-12.

South defeated Roosevelt in their last conference game of the season, 6-0.  This was the third shutout for the Tiger defense.

In the Twin City Conference Crossover game, South took on St. Paul’s second place team, Como Park.  The Tigers rose to the occasion and shut out their fourth team of the season 28-0.
