As a new season began, the belief was that the Tigers would be very competitive.  With a good group of returning players and talented newcomers, Head Coach Lenny Sedlock and his staff believed they would be a force to reckon with.

The first game of the season was against Edison.  The close game ended with the Tommies taking the win 15-6.

Another close loss to Columbia Heights put the Tigers at a 0-2 record, with Washburn on the horizon.

The Millers powerhouse team did not let up.  The Tigers started 0-3 with a 42-6 loss to Washburn.

After three straight losses, the Tigers could have folded believing the season was a loss.  But they did not. Against Southwest, the Tigers rebounded and played a complete game winning 37-0.

South continued winning when they took on Henry.  The Tigers scored a season high points, winning 52-6.

The North-South game was back and forth.  The Tigers showed grit pulling out a 30-24 win, evening their record at 3-3.

South finished the conference season with an easy win against Roosevelt, 25-6.

The last game of the regular season was the Twin City Crossover game.  South played St. Paul Harding.  In a game that was evenly matched, the Tigers pulled out the win 25-21.

South ended the season with a 4-2 conference record, tied with Roosevelt for second place.  Overall, the team was 5-3.
