As a new season begins, some things do not change, however, some things do change.  Those that do not change include the goals of winning the conference and region, and making it back to the State Tournament.  The factors that did change are the loss of players due to graduation and/or transfer as well as a new coach.  This year, Jeremy Fisher became the new leader of the Tigers soccer program.

South opened the season against Roosevelt.  The Tigers handed their new coach his first conference win, beating the Teddies 5-2.

The Tigers next opponent was Washburn.  The Millers were shut out 5-0.

South took on Southwest.  The Lakers and Tigers played a close game with Southwest winning 1-0.

South finished the first half of the conference season with three wins, Henry lost 8-0.  South beat Edison 4-2.  North fell 6-1.

The second half started with a rematch against Roosevelt.  Earlier in the season, South easily won.  The Teddies were not going to roll over this time.  Roosevelt and South played evenly, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Washburn was again defeated, this time by a 7-1 score.

South was out to avenge their earlier loss to Southwest in the next game.  The Tigers came out hard and won 4-1.

South finished the conference season with three more wins, defeating Henry 4-1, Edison 5-1 and North 6-0.

In a non-conference game, South beat Washburn for a third time 5-0.

The only Region tournament game reported was a fourth win against Washburn, 4-0.

South finished the season with a 10-1-1 record, winning their fifth consecutive conference title.

The Tigers also won the Region Tournament and advanced to the State Tournament for the fourth time in the last five years.

Coach Fisher was assisted this season by Michael Hiendes and Keith Kicker.
