After the most successful season in team history, what would the Tigers do for an encore?  With strong senior leadership, the team was expected to go farther than last season.  Head Coach George Beske and Assistant Coach M. Lehan cautioned the team regarding expectations of others.

The season conference schedule opened with a 7-0 win over North.  This was followed by a win over Henry.  Unfortunately, the score was not reported.  A 6-1 win over Washburn gave the Tigers a 3-0 record going into their match with Southwest, who was also undefeated.

In a 4-3 heartbreaker, the Lakers beat South.  Even though South won their last two conference matches, a 7-0 win over Edison and a win over Roosevelt (the score was not reported), Southwest finished win an undefeated conference record to claim the title.

The Tigers had a rougher time in the non-conference part of their schedule, winning only three while losing four.  The wins were a 7-0 contest over Bloomington Kennedy, a 4-3 victory over Richfield and a 5-2 win over Park Center.  They lost 6-1 to Mounds View, 4-3 to Coon Rapids, Sibley and Roseville.

In the Region Tournament, the Tigers won their first match, then faced the Conference champion, Southwest in the semi-finals.  South gained revenge for the earlier loss, eliminating the Lakers from the Tournament.  In a hard-fought match, South fell to Osseo 4-3 in the championship march.

In the individual tournament, the doubles team of Jodi Petrich and Claire Adamsick claimed the title over teammates Melissa Keavy and Jenny Johnson.  Both teams advanced to the State Tournament!
