The Tigers opened the defense of their conference title and their 41 meet winning streak.

South opened the season with a 100-68 win over Henry/North.  Their conference winning streak  was reached 43 meets with an 88-68 win over Edison.  

In the Conference Relays, South took first place with 126 points.  The Henry/North team finished second with 70 points.

South returned to conference regular season meets with a 93-76 win over Washburn.  Roosevelt again challenged the Tigers but fell 82-76.  Southwest finished off the regular season losing to the Tigers 111-67, stretching South’s winning streak to 46 meets.

South took on Southwest and Washburn in the Triangular meet.  The Tigers easily won.  South had 166, Southwest 98, and Washburn 63.

South again won the Conference Meet and faced Cretin-Derham Hall for the Twin City Title.  In a 31-point win, South claimed the title 103-72.

In the Region Meet, South finished in first place!   Five swimmers advanced to the State Meet.  They were Amy Bouta, A. Burck, Elizabeth Burrow, Jaina McClure and E. Snyder.

In the State Meet, the Tigers finished third.

Jeff Sanders finished his third season as swimming coach.  The Tigers won the ninth-consecutive conference title.
