After a slight disappointment last season, finishing third, the Tigers wanted to return to the top of the standings. Head Coach Joe McGinness and his staff pushed the Tigers to reach for the highest levels.

South opened the season against Roosevelt.  The Teddies did not stand a chance against the Tiger onslaught.  At the end of the game, South won 9-0.

Washburn gave the Tigers a game, but they still fell 4-1.  This was followed by a 5-0 win over North and a 9-0 win over Henry.

Southwest, the constant nemesis of the Tigers, gave South all they could handle.  But in the end, the Tigers were a 3-1 victor.  The first half ended with an easy win over Edison, 14-0.

The second half started with a second game against Roosevelt.  The Teddies were ready for the Tigers, but still fell by a 3-0 score.  Washburn played extremely close. One goal separated the two teams.  South won 1-0.  North, 12-0, and Henry, 8-0, both fell next.

Southwest played hard.  So did South.  The final was a 3-2 score.  Southwest put a dent in the Tigers goals of a championship.  South held a ½ game lead over Southwest with one game left.  Southwest and Washburn tied in the first game of the season.

South’s last conference game of the season was against Edison.  South expected an easy win, however no one told Edison.  The Tommies played hard and limited South to one goal!  The Tiger defense was tougher though, shutting out the Tommies.  The Tigers won 1-0 and claimed the conference title with an 11-0-1 record.
