ACT Prep Courses

South Community Education offers prepartory courses for the American College Test (ACT) through Advantage Prep. Classes are held in the evening throughout the school year at South High.

  • Advantage Prep provides valuable instruction for students taking the ACT. Each class meets for three hours, once each week for four weeks, with make-up classes available. The course includes diagnostic testing, instruction in time management, overcoming test anxiety, strategies for answering questions in math, science reasoning, and english. The writing essay is also covered. Although the writing essay is optional on the ACT, more and more colleges and universities are requiring it for admission purposes.
  • Tuition for the 12-hour ACT course is $140. Students may repeat the course in future offerings during winter, spring, summer or fall free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee.
