Welcome to South High. I'm Ms. Rosok and I teach Earth Science, Astronomy, Minnesota Ecology, and Physics.
I have taught in the US and in China, in traditional classrooms and in the outdoors. In Minnesota I’ve taught in the suburbs and several MPS high schools. My academic background is in Geology & Environmental Issues from Colorado College, and my education degree is from the University of St. Thomas. Before teaching I was a field instructor in Colorado, a concrete petrographer in St Paul, and an EL teacher in Shenyang, China, and St. Paul MN.
I want all my students to experience success and reach their goals in life. I enjoy talking about science and how it connects to our lives, doing experiments, and going outside to make observations and collect data.
I live in Minneapolis and my kids are in preschool and elementary school. Outside of school I enjoy time with my family, rock climbing, and hiking. My personal scientific projects currently include collecting precipitation data (rain and snowfall) for the CoCoRaHs network, and phenology data (plant and animal events) for the Nature’s Notebook network.
The best way to contact me, and to arrange for a meeting, is via email.
