South students advancing to regional competition, May 4 are:
Hebah Alzahlaf and Ahmad Azahlaf
Tanner Anderson and Daniel Tondra
Erik Patton, Victoria Myers and Meagan Fortier.
From adviser Mr. Nohel:
"Hebah and Ahmed finished 4th overall and just missed making the top flight for the second round, meaning they could have finished in the top 3.
This is a great accomplishment for our program. We still are the only Minneapolis school to place in the top 3 in the Regional competition, both in 2014 and 2015. Hopefully these great students will surpass our earlier performance."
From the JA Titan JA website:
Students apply their knowledge of business as they compete online to create and market a successful company in this interactive business simulation. While simulating “business quarters,” students make decisions on price, production, marketing, capital investment, and R & D. JA Titan enhances business, economics and math skills while demonstrating the impact that decisions have on the success or failure of each company. JA Titan can take place at school, at an area business, or at our Capstone facility in Maplewood, Minnesota.
