Study WWII history in Europe!

We're spending Spring Break 2018 in Europe and want you to come with us! Step out of the classroom and onto the beaches of Normandy, imagine Champs-Elysées and the barracks at the Battle of the Bulge during our World War II study tour. Registration Night for the Class of 2021 is set for Tuesday, May 2, 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Racial Justice Day coming in May!

Racial Justice Day is set for Wednesday, May 17. The entire day will be devoted to open forums about race, class, gender, culture, faith and social institutions. Students interested in planning are welcome to meet in the media center: 

  • Mondays after school.
  • Thursdays: 4/20-2nd hr., 4/27-3rd hr., 5/4-5th hr., 5/11-6th & 7th hours.

MPS to host equity conversations May 2

Minneapolis Public Schools is inviting families and community members to engage in meaningful conversations about equity and integration, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Davis Service Center, 1250 W. Check out Ultimate Frisbee, May 6

South High Ultimate Frisbee invites YOU to see them in action Saturday May 6 at Barnard Field! We would love to get the support of our South High community to cheer on our teams. Before play begins, South Ultimate players will hold a clinic for middle schoolers, spread the word. Come out and cheer!

  • Clinic for middle schoolers, noon - 1 p.m.
  • Girls varsity plays at 1 p.m.
  • Boys varsity takes the field at  3 p.m.
  • Admission is FREE!

Sign up to be a Zero-Waste volunteer

Join South alum Tam Nguyen '11 as a Zero-Waste volunteer! As current member of the May Day Green Team, Nguyen is looking for volunteers to get ready for the 43rd annual May Day Parade at Powderhorn Park, May 7. Volunteer opportunities abound for anyone interested in sustainability and those who love the May Day festival! Food and a thank-you gift will be provided to all volunteers who sign up for a three-hour shift.
