I currently teach French 2, French College in the Schools 1 (4th year), and CIS UMN First Year Accelerated French. The CIS French courses are taught in cooperation with the University of Minnesota.  For each year of CIS French, students receive high school credit AND college credits for French at the U of M--at no cost to students! French CIS 1 (4th year) students may receive credit for the U of M's French 1003 course (5 credits). In the CIS UMN First Year Accelerated French 1001 and 1002 courses students may earn 5 semester college credits each, 10 total.

Traveling (especially to France!), gardening, biking, tennis, pilates, reading

A proud product of the Minneapolis Public Schools, I moved back to Minneapolis after attending the University of Wisconsin.  I started teaching at North High School in 1988.  After eight years there I was awarded a sabbatical during which I earned my Masters in Education at the University of Minnesota.  I have taught at South High School since 1997.

I love to travel and have been to France many times. One of my passions is to bring South French students to France.  It is very rewarding to see students experience the language and culture firsthand.  They love staying with a French family and seeing all the wonderful sites in France!  Our next France trip will be in the spring of 2020!
