Conferences are held in the commons area, so parents may move from teacher to teacher. NOTE: special education teachers and a few teachers who are located just off the commons meet in their rooms.
How do I make a conference appointment?
1. Set up conferences via voice mail or email. Teacher’s contact information is on our web site, www.south.mpls.k12.mn.us. Or you may contact a teacher by email through the Parent Portal.*
2. Set up conferences by having your student sign you up as they go through their classes. Students should write down teacher’s name and time. 90% of teachers are in the commons area (NOT their classrooms)

4. Or any time, families can use email/voice mail to check on student’s progress or request a meeting with a student’s teachers. NOTE: Fall open house on September 15th is the best time to sign up for conferences, because you can sign up in person.
What if I can’t make the scheduled conferences?
Families may schedule a conference anytime throughout the school year via email or by calling your student’s teachers. Teacher’s contact information.
* The Parent Portal gives you, the parent, an opportunity to view your child’s attendance, grades, assignments, schedule and transcript.
