Close Up is a national program that allows students from all over the USA to visit Washington D.C. while providing them with an excellent first-hand opportunity to study our government.  Students meet in November and devise ways to earn money for the spring trip.  Meetings are regularly held and become mandatory 2 months before the trip.  Students love the entire experience and come home with many new ideas, friends and memories.  They develop a better understanding of and appreciation for our American governmental system.  Some students may choose to earn a Social Studies elective credit by following a set list of requirements.  All students agree that it is a fun and rewarding experience.
