A Little More About Me
Erin Brown

Erin Brown graduated from St. Olaf College in 1996 with a BA in dance and went on to earn a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2004. Her life in the arts has included working as a professional choreographer and performer in Arizona, North Carolina, and Oklahoma where she co-founded a modern dance company.   Her work as a dance educator includes teaching in public and private school settings in Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma and now Minnesota in grades K-12.  In 2012 Brown relocated to Minneapolis and joined the South High faculty in the fall of 2012.  She currently teaches four levels of dance courses during the regular school day and co-directs the afterschool theater program with Ellen Fenster.  Erin has one son, Jackson, who is an elementary student in Hopkins.  She is married to an awesome guy named Steve and has two step kids, Margaret and Isaac, who attend high school in Rochester, MN.  In her free time she enjoys attending arts events, swimming, yoga, traveling, reading and watching movies.  You can contact her at
