Winter sports are now over and we in Athletics would like to put a big shout out to the accomplishments of these Athletes. All City winners are:
Swimming-Men: Kaj Erickson, Dutch Franko-Dynes, Danny Johnson, Zach Kramka, Nicholas Mercadal & Jacob Patterson.
Nordic: Anna Kleven, Laurel Neufeld & Jojo Baldus.
Wrestling: Kai Hutchins, Solomon Kassan, Sam Truen, Xzavier Severino, Wyatt Peterson, Dakari Oats, Connor Leech & Capryce Johnson.
Basketball Girls: Lexus Hughes, Adria Stewart & Morgan Hill.
Basketball Boys: Payton Bowdry.
Gymnastics: Mary Kampa, Sophie Truen & Abby Harrison received Honorable mention.
State Participants: Jojo Baldus-Nordic, Seth Koepcke-Alpine, & Kyle Evans-Wrestling.
Wrestling Team won the City Conference Title again this year. They also won the Twin City Meat. Big accomplishment this year was beating Minnetonka in round one of Sections.
Basketball Boys won their first section game, beating Minnetonka, who was ranked 10th in the state.
Gymnast Mary Kampa received the all sections Academic Award with a 3.99 and Abby Harrison received Honorable Mention with a 3.66.
Last year 52% of our Athletes received Academic Letters.
Spring sports are starting with Badminton in gym, Baseball @ Van Cleve Park, Golf, Softball @ Nokomis Park, Tennis-Boys @ Powderhorn Park & Track & Field. Please come out and support our young athletes, the schedules are on the Web page and I post a copy on the bulletin board outside Athletics by week & by sport.
