Summer transcript requests

The South High Counseling office is closed for the summer. Final transcripts have been sent to colleges indicated on the survey seniors completed prior to graduation. If you are finishing requirements during summer, Richard Palmquist, counseling clerk, will honor transcripts requests when he returns August 14. For immediate assistance, please contact MPS Student Accounting at 612.668.0029.

Leadership change in South High Athletics

MPS Athletic Director Trent Tucker has announced that South Athletic Director Brett McNeal will be taking over AD duties at Edison High School effective July 1, 2017. Current Edison Athletic Director Amy Cardarelle will assume the AD post here at South on the same date. Cardarelle was named the South High Athletic Director in February of 2015 and served out that year, but was reassigned the following fall to Edison.


If you'll be a high school student this fall, the YMCA will give you a FREE membership this summer! That means free hoops, free pool time, free workouts and free exercise classes. Go to any Y to sign up, bring id (school id, or schedule, or report card) and an adult to sign for you. Or, have your guardian sign the form at home and bring it in. It's easy. Get all the details!

Students 18 years old and younger can get free meals all summer long and they can use their Metro Transit Summer Go To Pass to get there! To find summer meal locations near you:

Ride metro transit all summer for just $25!

High school students can get unlimited bus and train rides June 1-September 5 with a $25 summer go-to pass. Ride between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily,  Purchase with credit card at Metro Transit.
