EBSCO:  The EBSCO databases give you access to even more periodicals.
Proquest:  Access to thousands of newspaper articles.
African American Registry:  Focuses on the history and accomplishments of African Americans.
Culturegrams: Great for doing reports on countries and states.
ELM:  Multiple educational resources.   Student Resources in Context is one of their many databases. ELM tutorial.

MnKnows:  Chat with a librarian online. Staffed 24/7

Hennepin County Library Databases    May have to use a public library card to use these databases.

Free Rice:  Play a vocabulary game and help feed hungry people.

Order in the Library.  Put books in order on library shelves.  A fun way to learn how to find books using the Dewey Decimal System.

Sheppard Software:   Looks like kids games but some are pretty hard.  Beware! Some thinking may be required.

Passwords:
Some sites require passwords when accessed from home.  Contact the school media specialists  for passwords.
