Steel Magnolias

By Robert Harling

Steel Magnolias is a comedy-drama about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana. The action is set in Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done. The title suggests the "female characters are as delicate as magnolias but as tough as steel". The magnolia specifically references a magnolia tree they are arguing about at the beginning.

A Senior Project Directed by Natashia Otiso

Performs in the Skybox Theater at 7 PM

Adults $10; Students $8
