P.U.S.H.(Parents United for South High)

Welcome to all South High Families! PUSH meetings help you learn about the school, the academic programs (Liberal Arts, Open, All Nations), curriculum, extracurricular activities and adolescent development.

The purpose of PUSH is to encourage communication:  parent to parent, parent to school, and school to parent. Our goal is to create ways for every family and student to have a social connection to the school community and feel a valued member and participant within it.

Parent Mentors Fall 2012 (Help an incoming freshman parent get connected to South High)

Do you remember what it was like the first year your child started high school? Would you like to share your experiences and techniques to navigating the school, administration, programs and culture? If so, we are in need of parents who are interested in volunteering some of their time to be a parent mentor for incoming 9th grade parents to share what you’ve learned. Your total commitment would be approximately 2-4 hours during the first few months of school-September thru December. Please contact Candra Bennett at (bennett.candra@yahoo.com) or at 612-743-9010, if you are interested in helping to support and engage new South High families.
