What it is, What it does......
PUSH is the official parent and community organization for the school. The mission of PUSH is to encourage communication: between parents, parents to school, and school to parents. Our goal is to create ways for every family and student to have a social connection to the school community and feel a valued member and participant within it.
P.U.S.H Needs Your Involvement and Leadership
Connecting and working together as parents is a good way to support our students and the school. PUSH needs parent leadership for the 2015-2016 school year, and we invite you to get involved. Meetings are in the South High Media Center on the second Monday of each month, with a light dinner at 6 pm followed by the meeting at 6:30 pm.
PUSH is an important resource and a powerful way for parents to connect with other parents, school administration and the school community as a whole. PUSH is much more than a booster club for South—our mission is to support communication between home and school; to encourage parents/guardians to be involved at South; to educate ourselves on topics of interest as parents; and to create ways for every family and student to have a social connection to the school community and feel a valued member and participant within it!
Parent Mentors Fall 2015
Help an incoming freshman parent get connected to South High
Do you remember what it was like the first year your child started high school? Would you like to share your experiences and techniques to navigating the school, administration, programs and culture? If so, we are in need of parents who are interested in volunteering some of their time to be a parent mentor for incoming 9th grade parents to share what you’ve learned. Your total commitment would be approximately 2-4 hours during the first few months of school-September thru December.
