I started as a Community Education Aid at Erickson School. While there, one of my biggest challenges was learning how to hold classes for adults in a K-2 classroom.

Next, I moved to Anwatin Middle School and helped facilitate the After School Program, YMAP and general Adult Education programs. During this time I became acquainted with Access Services (Opportunities for Adults with Developmental Disabilities). Deb Clark (Community Education Specialist) was and still is in charge of the Access Program.

When Deb moved to South Community Education after Donna Smith retired, I joined the bandwagon and began hanging my hat and coat at South as well. After many, many years as a temporary employee of the Minneapolis Public Schools, I finally became a 20-hour Access Services Coordinator.

I have now been with the Community Education Program for over twenty years. But enough about me… I must return to my thinking.
