I currently teach French 2 and College in the Schools (CIS) French 4 and 5. CIS French is taught in cooperation with the University of Minnesota. For each year of CIS French, students receive high school credit AND five college credits for French at the U of M--at no cost to students! For CIS French 4, students may receive credit for the U of M's French 1003 course. For CIS French 5, students may receive credit for the U of M's French 1004 course.
Traveling (especially to France!), gardening, biking, tennis, pilates, reading
A proud product of the Minneapolis Public Schools, I moved back to Minneapolis after attending the University of Wisconsin. I started teaching at North High School in 1988. After eight years there I was awarded a sabbatical during which I earned my Masters in Education at the University of Minnesota. I have taught at South High School since 1997.
I love to travel and have been to France many times. One of my passions is to bring South French students to France. It is very rewarding to see students experience the language and culture firsthand. They love staying with a French family and seeing all the wonderful sites in France! Our next France trip will be in the spring of 2018!
