Bill Ross, Head Varsity Coach

  • Growing up as a hockey player in Minneapolis was a great thing back in the day. Playing for hockey legends Jake McCoy, Larry Hendrickson, Carl Carlson and Ed Saugestad was an honor and a privilege. All contributed greatly to my love for the game and our East kids experience some of each of them every time they hit the ice. Let’s all work hard to keep this game thriving in the city of frozen lakes.

Chad Dubbeldee, Assistant Varsity Coach

  • This is my seventh year of coaching Minneapolis South/East. I am a graduate of Hamline University where I earned varsity letters in both hockey and soccer. I have my teaching degree, and am currently working in the Minneapolis Public Schools.

Tom Doyle, Head Junior Varsity Coach

  • I played hockey for Como Area growing up, and then played for Como Park High School, voted All-Conference for two years. I also played football and baseball. I was the 2003 Como Park Male Athlete of the year. I played for Augsburg College from 2003-2007. I am finishing up my degree in Physical Education and will complete my student teaching at Minneapolis South High School.

Garret Paitich, Assistant Junior Varsity Coach

  • I played my youth hockey for Como Area and then high school hockey for Como Park High School. I also played baseball and quarterbacked the football team. In 2004, I was Como Park Male Athlete of the Year. I am currently in training to become a firefighter, one course away from completion.
