The 2013-2014 soccer season expected the Tigers to be in contention for the conference title.

The Tigers opened the season with two win, beating St. Paul Highland Park 5-1 and Bloomington Kennedy 3-1. 

South started the conference season with a 10-0 shellacking of Edison.  Arch-rival Southwest also fell, 2-1.  Washburn stopped South dream of a conference title with a 5-0 win over the Tigers.  South won against Roosevelt easily 7-0

A crushing loss to St. Croix Lutheran, 3-2, was followed by an 8-0 victory over Henry.  Washburn again beat the Tigers, 3-0, ending their hopes of a title.

In the next two games, South was shut out.  The first was a 2-0 loss to DeLaSalle.  The second was a 5-0 loss to Hopkins.

The Tigers evened their non-conference record at 3-3 when they beat Robbinsdale Cooper 1-0.  Two more losses though brought the record under .500.  St. Louis Park beat the Tigers 3-0. 

South’s last conference opponent was against Southwest.  The Lakers sank the Tigers, 5-1.  Champlin Park also won, 2-0.  In the last regular season game of the season, the Tigers faced Robbinsdale Armstrong.  The Falcons managed only one goal.  So did the Tigers.  The game ended in a tie.

In the Region 6AA Tournament, South drew Wayzata in the first round and the Tigers’ season ended, 5-0. 

South’s conference record was 4-3, tying them for second place with Southwest.  Overall the Tigers were 7-9-1.
