South opened the defense of their conference championship with practice in mid-August.  Reid Olsen and Max Maliga, the coaches for the team, knew the team had veteran experience needed to retain the title.

The first match was a non-conference contest against Robbinsdale Cooper.  The Tigers handed the Hawks a 6-1 loss.

South took on Edison in their first conference match.  The Tommies fell 7-0.  The second match of the season was against Southwest.  With a new schedule, the Tigers top foe over the last few years has been the last match of the season.  When the two teams played did not seem to matter to the Tigers.  South won easily 7-0.

Roosevelt, North and the Washburn all fell by 7-0 scores.

Hopkins handed the Tigers a 5-2 loss, before South finished the conference season against Henry.  The Patriots lost 7-0.  All six conference opponents lost 7-0, en-route to their third consecutive title.

In the Region 6AA tournament, South fell in the opening round to Benilde-St. Margaret’s.

The Twin City match was played after the region tournament against St. Paul Harding.  Harding fell to the Tigers 7-0.  South brought home the Twin City title.

South finished the season with an 8-2 overall record.  Eight players were named to the All-Conference squad: seniors Mary Gibbons, Carley Hammers, and Annie Pudvah; juniors Linaea Honi-Stunkel, Bella Larson, and Lacey Sprinker; sophomores Audrey Anderson and Marisa Skelly.
