The 2010-2011 opened with hope of much success.  Head Coach Gabrielle Stickney and her assistants, Sarah Stoven and Molly Hillenbrand, again had the task of combining the South and Roosevelt gymnasts into a combined team.  Also assisting in leading the team were tri-captains Lucy Hennen, Beth Hendrickson, and Caroline Olson.

The conference season started against Edison/Henry/North.  The South/Roosevelt squad won easily 118.4-62.95. This was a good tune up for the meet that in recent years determined the regular season champion, Southwest.  This was a tight meet.  Unfortunately Southwest won 123.23-119.55.  The Tigers finished against Washburn and won 125-106.2,

South/Roosevelt participated in three non-conference meets.  In the Centennial Tournament, South/Roosevelt finished in third place out of five teams.  In the Twin City Invitational, the Tigers against finished in third place out of eight teams.

After winter break, South/Roosevelt participated in the Farmington Quad.  South/Roosevelt finished in third place.

During the Conference Meet, the two top teams, Southwest and South/Roosevelt, had a close contest.  The meet came down to the last event, where Southwest eked out a 126-125.15 win.  However, the star of the event was South’s Lucy Hennen.  Hennen won the All-Around title as well as the title on the Balance Beam, Vault and Floor Exercise. The only event she did not win was the Uneven Bars, which she finished sixth.

In the Twin City Meet, the top two Minneapolis finishers faced off against Highland Park and Central.  Again, Southwest took home the title, beating second-place South by less than one point, 124.5-123.65.

In the Region 6AA Meet, South finished the season in seventh place.
