As the new season began, Mark Gross began his fifth season as head coach.  In those five years, the team has gradually improved and produced two state participants and one State Individual Champion.

The season opened at the Nokomis Invitational hosted by South.  The team did not fare well, coming in sixth.

Next up was the Faribault Invitational, where the Tigers slipped and finished eighth.  They improved to seventh place at the Eden Prairie Invitational.  A 21st place finish awaited the Tigers at the Mounds View Invitational.

Against some of the best runners in the country, South finished 30th in the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota.  They participated in the Gold Division.

A short trip to Bloomington saw the Tigers finish eighth at the Jefferson Jaguar Invitational.

Travelling three hours to Duluth to participate in the Swain Invitational saw the Tigers come in third in the Class AA division.

The final regular season meet was the Blaine Invitational where South finished 17th in the Blue Division.

The Tigers had their most disappointing finish in the Conference Meet in over 20 years, coming in last.  They did not have a team score because of the lack of runners.

At the Region 6AA Meet, the Tigers finished eighth.
