A new season means new expectations.  With a veteran squad, the Tigers expected to be a very competitive team.

South opened the season hosting the Nokomis Invitational.  The Tigers claimed first place in their meet.

Uncharacteristically, the Tigers did not have enough runners participate at the Mounds View Invitational, so they did not have a team score.

The next day, the Tigers participated in the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota.  South rebounded against some of the best teams in the nation, finishing 10th in the Gold Divison.

South then went on a roll.  At the Blaine Invitational, the Tigers claimed first place in the Blue Division.

South travelled to Duluth for the Swain Invitational.  Again, the Tigers finished first in the Class AA division.

The Conference Meet saw the Tigers bring home the championship as well.

The Tigers’ season ended at the Region 6AA Meet where they finished fifth.

Mark Gross again led the Tigers as Head Coach.
