For the third time in three seasons, South had a new head coach.  Melvin Alvarez took over the reins of the South Cross Country team.

South opened at the Twin Cities Grade Level meet.  Only three runners participated.  Justin Richards finished third at the 9th grade level.  Will Meland finished third at the 10th grade level.  Harrison Richards won the 11th grade level.

The Nokomis Invitational came next where the Tigers finished fourth.

At the Apple Valley Eagle Invitational, the Tigers finished 12th.  This was followed by a trip to Duluth to participate in the Swain Invitational.  South finished 16th in Class AA.

At the Blaine Invitational, South finished 10th in the Blue Division.

Finally, the Tigers finished 11th at the Metro Invitational.

At the Conference Meet, South again played second fiddle to Southwest.  Harrison Richards claimed the silver medal, finished second.  Anthony Johannes finished eighth, Tom Anderson, 10th, Dan Foley, 12th, and Michael Fiabane, 15th, as the other South point earners.

South has a bright future, with five runners finishing in the top 10 of the B-Squad/JV Conference Meet.
