This year was a thriller for the South High Gymnastics team according to the yearbook.  Even though they lost some important seniors from the previous season, they proceeded continue the tradition of excellence that previous teams demonstrated.

The team was coached by Megan Cameron, who was in her second season as head coach.  She was assisted by Kim Goodmanson. 

The team opened the conference season against the Edison/Henry/North team.  South won, but no score was reported.  Against Southwest, South again was the victor, 123-112.  South also defeated the Roosevelt/Washburn quad. 

South won the conference meet.  Emily Johnson was the star for the Tigers taking first place in the All-Around competition as well as first place on the vault and floor exercise. She also took second place in the balance beam and uneven bars. Megan Johnson took first in the balance beam.   Megan also placed second in All-Around and vault.  She took third in the floor exercise and uneven bars. 

Emily Johnson also advanced to the State Tournament.
