The 1999-2000 Tiger Gymnastics Team looked to follow up with last season’s conference championship by winning another.  The team was led by first-year head coach Jennifer Kolback and her assistant, Megan Cameron.  Kolback was an assistant coach last season.

The Tigers opened their conference season against Southwest.  The Lakers put up a good fight, but South won 130.475-122.1.  Washburn fell in the second meet.  South scores 123.275.  Washburn’s score was not reported.

With the two toughest opponents done, South easily won their last three conference meets.  The defeated Roosevelt 127.9-92.  That was followed by beating North 129.4-100.8.  Edison then fell 124.45-74.9.

South participated in the Lakeville Invitational Meet.  The Tigers scored 131.775 points.

South represented Minneapolis in the Twin City meet.  The St. Paul champion was Cretin-Derham Hall.  The meet was close, with the Tigers bringing home the trophy, 133.7-129.475.

In the Conference Meet, South took control and never looked back, scoring 136.325 points.  Southwest finished second, with 127.3 points.
