As the summer turned to fall, the Tiger Cross Country runners began preparing to defend their conference title and return to the State Meet.  Something new for the season was the addition of a third coach, Margaret Hoyt, who joined Warren Kaari and Craig Canham.

The results of the regular season meets have not been reported.

The hard work of the team brought them to the Conference Meet. Led by Jessie Tickner, the team claimed first place, taking seven of the top 12 individual spots.  Tickner, finished third, followed closely by Sara Clausen, Talian Epstein, Megan Peck, Ann Skoglund, Maria Lander-Cabea, and Abbie Clarke, who finished fourth, fifth, seventh, ninth, 10th and 12th respectively.

The results of the Region Meet was not reported either, however, the Tigers could not have finished lower than second because for the ninth time in school history South advanced to the State Meet.  At State, the Tigers finished in 13th place.

After 16 seasons coaching the Tigers, Coach Craig Canham decided he was going to retire.
