The team opened with a meet against Roosevelt.  The Teddies were no match for the mighty Tigers, falling 105.5-80.65.  The Tommies of Edison were the next team to fall.  South won 112.95-100.5.  The third conference win was against Washburn.  The Millers lost 113.35-96.85.

The Tigers also had a second meet against Southwest, but no score was reported.

In the Twin City Meet, the top two conference finishers participated.  South joined regular season champion Southwest in taking on Cretin-Derham-Hall and St. Paul Central.  Cretin finished in first place with 140.2 points.  The rest of the scores were 2nd: Southwest, 123.85; 3rd: South, 120.7; and last: Central, 119.
